The Agile range of POE power source devices and powered devices is the result of the maturation of the ROVER technology designed for the construction industry. It was realised that the inverter technology used in the Rover lineup to provide remote AC power outlets could be utilised in many different areas of industry including the commercial fit out and permanent wiring of offices, hospitals, prisons etc.

The use of SELV level voltages (typically 50V) in the Ethernet cables means that licensed electricians are not required to be utilised to lay cabling to deliver AC power. This vastly increasing the efficiency and cost savings involved in a typical fit out.

Agility midpsans and power/work stations have been built and tested to ensure that the delivery AC and DC power does not interfere with the transmission of data. Currently both single cable workstation and multiconnection powerstation have been tested and deliver the gigabit data uncorrupted together with the desired power which can be output at the other end via AC outlets.

Key Benefits of Agility Range

Ability to power AC devices without having to provision AC cabling. Given that data cabling is already used in many fit outs, the same data cables can carry all the necessary power, including for devices requiring AC power.
Safely work with sub 58V (SELV) voltages in the cable spans.
Deliver everything required by office workstations including DC power for LED lighting, Ethernet communications and most importantly, AC outlets for powering screens and chargers.
Workstation also has multiple sensor inputs for wiring PIR’s and other sensors for determining occupancy and to power down the workstation and connected devices when not in use.
Communicate with connected devices via common mode signalling instead of TCP/IP.
Up to 1600W available for output as AC power from the multiconnection powerstation module.
Devices requiring AC with an earth connection can be accommodated using local or remote earthing solutions.
Batteries packs can also be incorporated into the workstations to provide additional power if peak demand exceeds capacity to supply and to provide for limited UPS functionality.
Midspans currently rated to 200W per channel.
Mid Spans can also be designed to be powered by solar and other renewable sources directly rather than by AC for more remote off grid applications.
