ROVER TECHNOLOGY
The Rover range of POE devices have been developed by Norm Boemi from Electrical Engineering Solutions (EES) of which Rover POE is a division. The Rover range of devices were initially developed to provide safe lighting for workers in construction sites, eliminating the reliance on dangerous temporary high-voltage supply and cables.
Rover power stations now provide between 100-300W per Ethernet connection. These high powered connections allows electrical power to pass along ethernet cables using a single cable to provide both data connection and electrical power to powered devices. The high powered Ethernet connections allow long strings of daisychainable LED luminaries to be rapidly deployed in harsh conditions including in outdoor and weather exposed areas.
The Rover range of POE devices also now includes Rover charging stations which are set to revolutionise the delivery of useful power over Ethernet. The Rover charging station is powered by a plurality of high powered Ethernet connections. The DC power delivered safely over the Ethernet connections is inverted and output through standard 240/11V general power outlets to provide approximately 1000W of pure sine wave AC power. The charging stations also provide USB DC power and optionally, wifi and Ethernet connectivity for local network connectivity.
