Patent Family 1
This patent family was directed at the provision of robust POE solutions for the construction industry including:
- ROVER™ Power Source Device – a weatherproof POE distribution station – with a minimum 100W per POE connection for using to power connected devices. The ROVER distribution station has integrated communications platform for controlling the powered states of the POE ports as well as integrating with local security and communications systems.
- Driverless, Daisychainable LED lights powered by POE. 20W LED modules combined with simple electronic architecture devoid of all drivers and addressability. Lights are powered on and off by powering or depowering the POE connection which is passed through up to 5 such lights for each POE connection. Emergency, Sustained and other variations provided.
- Charging Station – first of its kind inverter for creating high voltage (110-240V) AC power from high powered DC taken from high power POE connections. Used on the construction site for powering tools and charging batteries.
Patent Family 2
This patent family was directed at improvements to the charging station which was repurposed into a general purpose AC outlet together with integrated communications.
- High Power (1600W) AC inverters to generate AC power for use by connected devices including devices requiring an earth.
- Novel ethernet cables and connectors.
- A common mode signaling system for communicating and controlling connected devices.
